handmade pasta being made in the kitchen along with the ingredients

Spaghetti: The first on this list is none other than spaghetti. Spaghetti is a long and thin pasta that can be used in a wide range of dishes, which would include creamy or tomato-based sauces. One of the more popular dishes created with spaghetti pasta is Spaghetti Bolognese, which is relished by people from all over the world.

Penne: Taking the second spot is none other than the most commonly used pasta in many restaurants and households. Penne is a short pasta that is fat and hollow, enabling it to hold sauce well. Because of its sauce-holding characteristic, it is mainly used in a thick and creamy sauce. It is also frequently used to make baking dishes such as penne al forno.

Lasagna: A popular and well-known pasta simply because of its name. Many people mistake Lasagna for a dish owing to its fame, but Lasagna is in fact the name of the thin sheets of pasta that comprise the dish. The Vincisgrassi, a dish from the region of Marche, is one of Italy's most popular.

Ravioli: A well-known dish around the world for its rich flavor and texture. It is a type of pasta that is usually filled with meat, seafood, or vegetables and topped with a thick sauce. Ravioli is commonly served as a main course, but it can also be served as an appetizer or a side dish at the table. Fun fact: Every year on March 20th, National Ravioli Day is celebrated to enjoy pasta that is fun and versatile.

Linguine: Linguine is well-known, but it is frequently confused with spaghetti by people who are unfamiliar with pasta. Linguine is thought to have originated in Liguria, an Italian coastal region. Linguine is also recognized as little tongues because the cross-section in the pasta is not circular or flat, but rather oval. Linguine alla pascatore, linguine alla vongole, and linguine al limone are some of the most popular linguine dishes.
